ABOUT

I am a senior-year mechanical engineering student at MIT with a passion for the product design and manufacturing process. Through my time at MIT I have developed experience with a wide variety of computer-aided technologies, manufacturing techniques, and material types that have prepared me for both prototyping revolutionary new product ideas and evolving those ideas into shippable products that have been designed for manufacturing.

I cut my teeth on engineering and design experience as a freshman on MIT's Formula SAE Electric team, and have continued to push myself to grow as an engineer through project teams, undergraduate research, elective classes, internships, and personal projects. Entering my senior year of my education, I've already spent hundreds of hours in SolidWorks and Inventor honing my parametric modeling skills, and hundreds more in machine shops using industry grade CNC mills, lathes, water jets, laser cutters, 3D printers, in addition to earning exemplary grades on my coursework.

In the long term, after gaining a few years of industry experience, I would like to pivot towards project management roles. I have been developing my leadership experience since High School, as an Eagle Scout and writer and teacher of a Lincoln Douglas debate curriculum. Here at MIT, as a member of my living community, I have led two large recruitment programs spanning a total of 60 events, 35 volunteers, and a $29k budget. I have learned how to identify problems before they arise, delegate urgent tasks, satisfy stakeholders, and forecast and balance a budget.

Outside of academic and engineering projects, I enjoy snowboarding and hiking, watching Formula 1 races, repairing and restoring my truck, and building my own computer and audio systems.
